Why Butterfly?

“You step on a butterfly today, Millions of people are killed in a bomb blast years later”. Butterfly Effect co-relates two seemingly unrelated events seperated by a chunk of time. We can also put it like this. Something very bad and upsetting happens to you today, which might have been the factor that triggered a chain of events that ultimately puts you in a favourable and pleasant scenario.
